Retirees do not retain access to Box.
When a retiree's Box account is terminated, this also results in termination of access for everyone with whom the employee’s Box folders/files were shared.
There are two types of data in Box: personal data and college or University data necessary for ongoing departmental operations.
Personal Box files and folders may be owned by individuals with access to those files as long as they are employed by Auburn. Prior to retirement, OIT recommends migrating any personal files and folders stored in Box to an offsite storage solution of your choice.
University data necessary for college or departmental work should not be owned by an individual. Instead, it should be assigned to a departmental Box account that is accessible to a college’s departmental IT group. Work-related files and folders stored in Box can be transferred to a departmental Box account. For instructions on transferring Box content ownership, please see the Knowledge Base article Box: Transferring Ownership of a File or Folder. If you are the owner or editor of Box folders or files that contain University operational data, you should contact your distributed IT provider prior to retirement to assist with transferring Box file or folder ownership.
Retirees (including Emeritus) do not retain access to their individual web space at auburn.edu/~username or webhome.auburn.edu/~username. The sites are removed on their termination date.
Retirees will retain access to Zoom by logging in at AU Access. They will continue to use Duo multi-factor authentication when logging into AU Access. For instructions related to Duo multi-factor authentication, please see the Knowledge Base article at aub.ie/duokb.
