AU Wireless Networks - Which Option Is Best For Me?

There are several wireless networks available on the Auburn campus.  AU_WiFi and eduroam are the best options for students and faculty when it comes to academic and administrative needs.  Auburn also offers separate networks for gaming and streaming devices as well as on-campus visitors.

  • AU_WiFi is a WPA2-encrypted wireless network, which means traffic cannot be easily obtained as it passes from a user's computer to the wireless access point. AU_WiFi has 802.11n access points for high speeds.
  • AU_WiFi is the network for smartphones, tablets, and computers.
  • AU_WiFi is available throughout campus and at Auburn Extension Offices
