Box is a cloud content management and file-sharing service that should be used as a resource for storing Auburn University academic or administrative data. Users can determine how their content can be shared with other users. Users may invite others to view and/or edit an account's shared files, upload documents and photos to shared files, upload documents and photos to a shared file's folder, and give other users rights to view shared files.
Only active students and employees have access to Box. For more information regarding Auburn alumni and Box accounts, visit the Knowledge Base article at aub.ie/gradchanges. For more information regarding Auburn retirees and Box accounts, visit the Knowledge Base article at aub.ie/retirees.

Box File Request provides instructors with a simple, secure way to collect student assignments without requiring students to be collaborators on a folder. This method is especially useful when students experience issues uploading files to Canvas. With Box File Request, students upload files through a link you provide, and submissions are automatically saved and organized into a designated Box folder.
1. Log in to your Box account at auburn.box.com.
2. Select New + > Folder > Create to create a new folder (i.e. "Assignment 1 Submissions").
3. Open the folder you just created, and select File Request.
4. In the File Request window, select Edit to customize your submission page:
5. Select Share and Copy to copy the Box File Request URL. Provide your students the submission link via your preferred secure method of communication. Include clear instructions for naming files or any additional details you wish to communicate.
