Auburn University has two instances of Canvas: Academic Canvas at https://auburn.instructure.com and Canvas Catalog at https://auburncatalog.instructure.com. Academic Canvas, which serves as Auburn's credit-bearing Learning Management System, is behind AUthenticate, a secure, Single Sign On system. Please see this helpguide if you need to change your Auburn University password.
Canvas Catalog is a self-enrolled, public version of Canvas. Canvas Catalog is popular for continuing education or professional development courses for the larger public. It's not behind Auburn's Single Sign On and you can reset the password following the help below.
To reset your password in Auburn's Catalog, navigate to the Auburn Catalog Canvas login or go to https://aub.ie/cataloglogin.
1) On the Login page, click "Forgot Password?"
2) Enter the email you used to register for your Auburn Catalog courses.
3) You'll receive an email from Instructure Canvas <notifications@instructure.com> with the subject "Forgot Password: Canvas." Click the "Click here to set a new password." Note: Password reset emails expire after two hours.
As general guidance, we do not recommend clicking links in unsolicited emails, especially password resets. And although this is a requested and expected email, we still recommend doublechecking all links. If you hover your cursor over the link, it should be redirecting you to an address that begins with: https://auburncatalog.instructure.com....
3) Enter and confirm a new password for your Auburn Catalog account. Auburn has a helpguide on password best practices.
4) A confirmation page will appear, and your new password should be active.
