AU Wireless is a broad wireless network that is available across the Auburn University campus. Auburn currently broadcasts multiple SSIDs. Depending on your location and your primary role at Auburn, one or more of these SSIDs will be available for you.
AU_Open is a wireless network for visitors on Auburn University's campus who need temporary, short-term WiFi access. This network is available in all on-campus academic and administrative buildings.
To access AU_Open, a current Auburn employee must sponsor the visitor and request a temporary WiFi account on their behalf at aub.ie/tga. Detailed instructions are available in the Knowledge Base article: Sponsored and Temporary WiFi Accounts.
The duration of a temporary WiFi account on AU_Open can not exceed 30 days, and each temporary WiFi account can only be accessed by 50 individuals at a time.
For employees who need to register a device to AU_Open, such as a TV or camera in an office (devices other than phones and computers), follow the instructions in the Knowledge Base article at aub.ie/registerdevice.
