AU Wireless is a broad wireless network that is available across the Auburn University campus. Auburn currently broadcasts multiple SSIDs. Depending on your location and your primary role at Auburn, one or more of these SSIDs will be available for you.
Note: AU_WiFi is being retired in 2025; eduroam is the best wireless option for students, faculty, and staff when it comes to academic and administrative needs.
AU_WiFi is a WPA-2-encrypted wireless network, which means traffic cannot be easily obtained as it passes from a user's computer to the wireless access point. AU_WiFi has 802.11n access points for high speeds. Auburn University students, faculty, and staff connect to AU_WiFi using their Auburn username and password. As of Fall 2025, AU_WiFi availability is limited across campus, and eduroam should be used instead. Visit aub.ie/eduroam for instructions.
