Connect to a Wireless Network on a Windows Machine (for Windows 11):
- Select the Network, Sound, or Battery icons in the lower right-hand corner of your screen.
- The Disconnected icon appears when you are not connected.
- On the Wi-Fi quick setting, select the arrow for Manage Wi-Fi Connections.
- Choose the desired Wi-Fi network and click Connect.
- If prompted, enter a Network Security Key or your username/password credentials and click Next.
Connect to a Wireless Network on a Mac (for Sonoma 14):
- In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, click the Wi-Fi symbol.
- Select the Wi-Fi you would like to join. If you do not see the network you want to join, click Other Networks to display nearby networks.
- When the window appears, enter your username and password.
- Click Join.
Connect to a Wireless Network on an iOS Device:
- From your Home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap on the desired Wi-Fi Network.
- Enter the user name and password if prompted.
- Click Join.
- On an iPhone you may be asked to trust the network using ClearPass. Tap Trust in the upper right corner of the screen.
Connect to a Wireless Network on an Android or Pixel Device:
(Note: Exact settings may vary depending on manufacturer and OS version)
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Tap Connections or Network & Internet.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Tap the Wi-Fi network that you wish to join.
- Under identity, enter your username and password.
- If you are prompted for a domain, it will be auburn.edu.
- On a Google Pixel 3 or newer, try using clearpass.auburn.edu or auburn.edu for the domain.
- Under CA certificate tap and choose Don’t Validate.
- Tap Connect.
- Connecting to AU_WiFi requires specific settings to be entered. Detailed instructions for connecting an Android or Pixel device to AU_WiFi can be found in this Knowledge Base article.
