Email is the official line of communication at Auburn University. For specific guidelines regarding user accounts that are eligible for email, please reference the Auburn University Eligible User Policy.
The Office of Information Technology supports Microsoft Outlook as the university's preferred email application.
Under the current policy, Auburn alumni who graduated after 2010 are permitted to retain access to their Auburn email accounts without a set expiration date; however, future changes may occur. Should any updates be made to the alumni email access, affected users will be notified in advance.
Email accounts with no login activity for a period of one year will be considered abandoned and scheduled for deletion. As an alumnus, if you would like to retain your email account, please remember to log in at least once a year.
To access email via the web, Auburn alumni should visit outlook.com/tigermail.auburn.edu (shortcut is aub.ie/alumniemail).
For more information regarding what happens to other components of your Auburn account after graduation, alumni should visit the Knowledge Base article: Accounts: What Happens to your Account after Graduation.

Employees who retire from Auburn are eligible to keep their email account.
