Enabling Third-Party cookies for External Tools in Canvas


Enabling third-party cookies is crucial for accessing many tools within Canvas. Without them, users may encounter error messages, hindering their ability to effectively utilize Canvas tools, functions, and integrated external applications.

Google Chrome:

  1. Open your Google Chrome Browser.
  2. In the address bar, enter this address: “chrome://settings/cookies
  3. Make sure the setting for “Block third-party cookies” is NOT enabled.
  4. Restart Google Chrome.

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Open your Edge Browser.
  2. In the address bar, enter this address: “edge://settings/content/cookies
  3. Make sure the setting for “Block third-party cookies” is NOT enabled.
  4. Restart Microsoft Edge.

Safari:

  1. Open your Safari Browser.
  2. Click on the “Safari” menu and choose “Settings.”
  3. Click on the “Privacy” tab. Make sure “Prevent cross-site tracking” is NOT enabled.

Firefox:

  1. Open your Firefox Browser.
  2. In the address bar, enter this address: “about:preferences#privacy
  3. Under the section for “Content Blocking,” select “Standard” or “Custom” with third-party cookies allowed.
  4. Restart Firefox.
