How to Update Apps on an iOS Device

To Manually Update Apps on an iOS Device:

1. Open the App Store on your iOS device.

2. Tap your profile icon at the top right of the screen.

3. Scroll down to see available updates and release notes. To update a single app, tap Update next to the app you would like to update. If you would like to update all the apps that need to be updated, tap Update All. This will queue up all the apps that need to be updated. This may take some time depending on how many apps need updating.

To Turn on Automatic App Updates on an iOS Device:

1. Go to Settings on your iOS device.

2. Tap App Store.

3. Under Automatic Downloads, toggle on App Updates.

To Manually Update Apps on an Android Device:

1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.

2. At the top right, tap your profile icon.

3. Tap Manage apps & device. Apps with an update available are labeled "Update available."

4. Locate the app you want to update and tap Update.

To Turn on Automatic Updates for All Apps on an Android Device:

1. Open the Google Play Store app.

2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.

3. Tap Settings / Network Preferences / Auto-update apps.

4. Select an option (Over any network to update apps using either WiFi or mobile data or Over WiFi only to update apps only when connected to WiFi.

To Turn on Automatic Updates for a Single App on an Android Device:

1. Open the Google Play Store app.

2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.

3. Tap Manage apps & device.

4. Tap Manage, then find the app you want to update automatically.

5. To open the app's "Details" page, tap the app.

6. On the app's "Details" page, tap More.

7. Turn on Enable auto update.
