Active Auburn students who are enrolled in classes and active Auburn employees can access available online applications and install the desktop applications of Microsoft 365. Your Microsoft license allows up to five logins across different devices. When your account is no longer active, these downloaded desktop applications will no longer work.

Follow the instructions below to install the desktop applications of Microsoft 365. 

1. In a web browser, navigate to owa.auburn.edu, log in with your Auburn email and password, and authenticate with Duo. After logging in, you should see your Auburn email.

2. To download the Microsoft 365 apps, click the nine small dots in a square pattern in the upper-left corner of the screen (this is referred to as the "app launcher"). 

3. Next, click More apps.

4. A new window should open up, with Apps as the default tab on the left-hand side. Click Install apps in the upper-right corner, and click Microsoft 365 apps.

5. From the Apps & devices tab on the left-hand side, click Install Office. (Note: You can also install Office from the My account tab.) An OfficeSetup.exe setup file should begin downloading. When the download is complete, you can start the installation process. 

Tip: On the Install Office screen, you can click the drop-down arrow next to Devices to see which of your devices already have Microsoft 365 installed, and you can sign out of Microsoft 365 on those devices from here as well. As a reminder, your Microsoft license allows up to five logins across different devices.

6. Follow the steps shown on your screen to complete the installation.
