With OneDrive for Business, you can upload files from your computer to your OneDrive on the web, so that you can access your files using the Microsoft 365 web apps.
When utilizing OneDrive and Microsoft 365 web apps, be mindful that active student and employee accounts have 1 Terabyte of OneDrive storage, while retiree accounts retain 100 GB of OneDrive storage.
Click the button below to view specific instructions for uploading files to OneDrive on the web, based on your computer's operating system:
1. Open a web browser (Chrome preferred) and go to owa.auburn.edu.
2. Sign in with your Auburn email address and password.
3. The initial screen you see will display your Outlook email. To access OneDrive, click the 9 small dots in the upper-left corner of the screen, and then click the OneDrive app.
4. The view will default to the Homepage of your OneDrive which displays recent files. Click My Files on the left side of the screen to see an organized view of your OneDrive files.
Step 2: Select and Upload Files
1. While under My files (selected on the left side of the screen, under your name and Home), click the + Add new button, and click Files upload (or Folder upload if you wish to upload contents of an entire folder).
2. This will bring up File Explorer on your computer. Browse your computer to find the files or folders you want to upload to OneDrive.
3. Select the files or folders and click Open. Note: You can select multiple files and folders to upload at once by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking each file or folder.
4. You should now see your file or folder that has been uploaded to your OneDrive on the web.
1. You can also drag and drop files directly from your computer to OneDrive on the web.
2. Open File Explorer and locate the file or folder you want to upload to OneDrive on the web.
3. Using your mouse, drag the selected file or folder that is stored on your computer and drop it into the OneDrive window in your web browser. Note: You can select multiple files and folders to upload at once by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking each file or folder before you drag the files or folders to the OneDrive web interface.
4. You should now see your file or folder that has been uploaded to your OneDrive on the web.
Step 4: File and Folder Options in OneDrive
1. Once a file or folder has been uploaded to OneDrive, click the 3 dots next to a file or folder to access various options such as open, delete, rename, move to, etc.
