OneDrive for Business is 1 TB of cloud storage intended for storing and organizing your documents. It is easily accessible via the web and mobile clients and can be synced to your PC so you always have easy access to your documents. OneDrive for Business also makes it easy to share and collaborate on documents, both with AU users and non-AU users. Additionally, the Office Web Apps allow you to create and edit Microsoft Office documents from any modern web browser.
Auburn University main campus students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use OneDrive.
This article will explain how to install OneDrive for Business on your personal computers or smart devices. This software is not to be installed on a university computer. If you need OneDrive or Microsoft Office installed on a university computer, contact your IT Provider.
Additionally, instructions on sharing via OneDrive from within a document and within a folder can be found in the Knowledge Base article Sharing Documents via OneDrive.
To connect the desktop application to OneDrive for Business, log in to OneDrive for Business and click "sync".
Note: There is a single file size limit of 10GB and a maximum number of files to sync set at 20,000 (anymore files will cause problems).
For both Windows Users and Mac Users, the OneDrive app can also be downloaded independently from the Office 365 installation. Visit the app store associated with your device to download it and sign in with your Auburn credentials.
There may come a time when you will need to move files from one OneDrive to another. Please refer to this Microsoft article for instructions on how to accomplish this.
