Outlook: How Do I Free Up Email Storage Space?


In Outlook, you can free up storage space by deleting emails or emptying contents from a folder. This can be done by accessing your email account through the web.

1. In a web browser, login to your Auburn email account.

2. In the upper-right corner, click the Settings gear icon.

3. Click Account, and then click Storage.

4. From the Storage screen, you can view how much storage space has been used, as well as your size and message count for all of your email folders. To delete emails, click Empty (next to the Trash Can icon) next to the desired folder, and select to empty either: 1) all messages; 2) messages 3 months and older; 3) messages 6 months and older; or 4) messaged 12 months and older.
