ProctorU: Instructor Guide to Setting Up Record+ and Review+ Exams

Important: Auburn University uses the LTI Wizard (LTI integration) for all ProctorU exams. The ProctorU browser extension should not be used to set up any ProctorU exam. Exams are configured entirely within Canvas. If you don’t see ProctorU in your course menu, you may need to enable it. For help, please follow this knowledge base article on customizing course navigation.

ProctorU is Auburn University’s supported online proctoring service for remote exams. Both Record+ (automated proctoring) and Review+ (live proctor review) exams are now configured using the same process through the ProctorU LTI Wizard in Canvas—no browser extension is required. This process is compatible with both Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes in Canvas. This guide walks you through selecting the correct service type, configuring exam settings, enabling resources or accommodations, and reviewing proctoring results.
