Per Auburn University’s Identity management:
Visiting scholars get a mail forwarding entry to the email address of their choice from an AU email alias.
Visiting scholars do get AU_Wifi access
Visiting scholars do get Global Protect VPN and DUO access
Visiting scholars do not get an Auburn Email account, with few exceptions.
Reasoning – this protects their email, as once their tenure as a visiting scholar concludes at Auburn, they aren't at risk of losing important messages.
http://aub.ie/mailforward should give the visiting scholar access to change preferred email forwarding address
Visiting scholars do not get an o365 account or adobe license, but adobe reader is free and Office online is available - here's how -
Auburn University Libraries’ license agreements between the Libraries and database publishers restrict remote access to faculty, staff, and students currently employed by or currently enrolled at Auburn University.
Since the records provided to the Libraries by the University indicate that Auburn University does not employ you, remote access to Auburn University Libraries’ electronic resources is not granted to you. You do, however, have in-library as well as on-campus access to all of our electronic resources.
If you are an affiliate faculty member who works on campus or if you have direct supervisory responsibility for currently enrolled Auburn University students, you must make a personal visit and speak with Mr. Anthony “JP” Pendleton to determine if you qualify for remote access. Mr. Pendleton’s office is located on the 1st floor of the Auburn University Libraries’ main building, Ralph Brown Draughon Library, 231 Mell Street.
CANVAS – instructional – Biggio Center
Unless a person has a Teaching or Student record in Banner, their accounts aren’t automatically created in Canvas.
If someone has an external person they want in Canvas, then it is recommended that the PI + HR should request an Affiliate or Adjunct account for the visiting scholar, then let Biggio Tech know.
