Within AU Access, employees and students have the ability to update their personal contact information, including preferred name, personal pronoun, addresses and phone numbers, and emergency contacts.
Follow these steps to change your Personal Contact Information:
1. Log into AUAccess.
2. Navigate to Personal Information.

- For Employees, navigate to Employee > Employee Services Card > Personal Information.

- For Students, navigate to My Academics > Academic Portals Card > Personal Information.

3. From Personal Information, you can make the appropriate changes in each section with options to edit an entry, delete an entry, and add a new entry.

4. After making changes in Personal Information, allow 24-48 hours for changes to sync across all Auburn University resources, such as Outlook, Canvas, etc.
Items of Importance:
- Keep in mind that PeopleFinder only displays Address Line 1.
- If you need to Insert or Add a new address, you must select the type of address you wish to add.
- If you are adding or inserting a type of address that already exists, you must END the current address before adding a new one. You must enter an end date in the Valid From field. This will end the validity of the address, allowing you to add or insert a new one.
- Once the current address has been ended, you can enter in the Valid Until date on the new address. For example: If you end your old address on 11/01/2025, the new address can not be valid until 11/02/2025. The dates for these addresses can not overlap.
