IMAP, POP3, or SMTP protocols for email are disabled on Auburn University email accounts. These protocols pose a security risk and expose your account to vulnerabilities.

When setting up your email account, users are required to use Microsoft Exchange/ActiveSync protocols.

Additionally, users are encouraged to use Outlook or Office 365 applications on their computers or devices.  Outside of these Microsoft applications, the OIT Service Desk supports most native mail applications on computers or devices (examples: Mac Mail, and native mail apps on iOS and Android).
