The following instructions provide steps for connecting a Chromebook to either AU_WiFi or eduroam.
AU_WiFi
To connect to AU_WiFi on a Chromebook, follow the steps below:
- Forget all AU network connections.
- For SSID, select AU_WiFi.
- Set authentication, or EAP method, to PEAP.
- Set inner authentication, or EAP Phase 2 authentication, to MSCHAPv2.
- Set Server CA certificate to Do not Check.
- In the Identity field, enter your Auburn username (do not enter @auburn.edu).
- In the Password field, enter your Auburn password.
- Click Connect.

eduroam
To connect to eduroam on a Chromebook, follow the steps below:
- Forget all AU network connections.
- For SSID, select eduroam.
- Set authentication, or EAP method, to PEAP.
- Set inner authentication, or EAP Phase 2 authentication, to MSCHAPv2.
- Set Server CA certificate to Do not Check.
- In the Identity field, enter your full Auburn email address (username@auburn.edu).
- In the Password field, enter your Auburn password.
- Click Connect.
