How to Connect a Chromebook to WiFi


The following instructions provide steps for connecting a Chromebook to either AU_WiFi or eduroam.

 

AU_WiFi


To connect to AU_WiFi on a Chromebook, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Forget all AU network connections.
  2. For SSID, select AU_WiFi.
  3. Set authentication, or EAP method, to PEAP.
  4. Set inner authentication, or EAP Phase 2 authentication, to MSCHAPv2.
  5. Set Server CA certificate to Do not Check.
  6. In the Identity field, enter your Auburn username (do not enter @auburn.edu).
  7. In the Password field, enter your Auburn password.
  8. Click Connect.

eduroam


To connect to eduroam on a Chromebook, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Forget all AU network connections.
  2. For SSID, select eduroam.
  3. Set authentication, or EAP method, to PEAP.
  4. Set inner authentication, or EAP Phase 2 authentication, to MSCHAPv2.
  5. Set Server CA certificate to Do not Check.
  6. In the Identity field, enter your full Auburn email address (username@auburn.edu).
  7. In the Password field, enter your Auburn password.
  8. Click Connect.
