How to relate an Incident Ticket to a future Change ticket
If you have an open incident that is waiting for a change activity to happen you can relate the tickets to one another to connect them. The change could be waiting on approval, a future date, or a scheduled maintenance window. This will create a relationship between the tickets for a better audit trail of incidents and changes for break-fix situations.
Image 1: On the Incident ticket go to the related records tab and input the Change ticket number.
Image 2: It will also be visible on the Change Ticket on the Incidents Pending Change tab.
