ArcGIS is used for creating, viewing, and sharing maps in addition to compiling geographic data, analyzing mapped information, and managing geographic information in a database. ArcGIS also maintains an infrastructure for making this data shareable with small groups, organizations, or the public.

Information & Restrictions

Auburn University is licensed to use this product under the Esri Education Institution License program. This agreement requires an annual subscription renewal which is due in July of each year. See Education License Program documentation for list of available products.

Eligibility

The Education Institution License Program includes two sets of licenses for the Esri products included. One set is for academic use (teaching, research, service) and the other is for administrative use.

Cost Distribution

Students in the College of Architecture, Design & Construction, College of Agriculture and ACES, College of Engineering, College of Sciences & Mathematics, College of Liberal Arts and the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences may have access to this software at no cost through their college or school IT department.

Obtaining Software

Users in College of Architecture, Design & Construction, College of Agriculture and ACES, College of Engineering, College of Sciences & Mathematics, College of Liberal Arts and the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences should request a license using the request button in the top right corner of the page. Once a license has been provided to you, contact your IT Provider for assistance with installation.
