How to Disable the Pop-up Blocker in an Internet Browser

By default, Google Chrome blocks pop-ups from automatically showing up on your screen.  When a pop-up is blocked, the address bar will be marked "Pop-up blocked."  There may be times where you will need to disable the pop-up blocker in Google Chrome.

To disable the pop-up blocker in Google Chrome, please follow the below steps:

  1. On your computer, open Chrome Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and security and then Site Settings.
  4. Click Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. Choose the option you want as your default setting.

If you continue to have issues with pop-ups or disabling pop-ups, please contact your IT Provider or the IT Service Desk by phone at 334-844-4944 or email the IT Service Desk by clicking this link.
