Auburn University's Provost Office will continue covering the costs for ProctorU Record+ and ProctorU Review+ through Spring 2026. This funding ensures students have access to proctoring tools without added financial burden. Please note: ProctorU Live+ still requires a student-paid fee.
Virtual Proctoring:
ProctorU Record+
- Funding: Covered by the Office of the Provost through Spring 2025
- Description: Fully automated launch with a professional review after the exam. ProctorU handles all flagging and incident reporting.
- Use Case: Best for regular or low-stakes assessments; does not require scheduling.

ProctorU Review+
- Funding: Covered by the Office of the Provost through Spring 2025
- Description: Begins with a live proctor to verify identity and environment, then shifts to automated monitoring. A professional review is conducted at the end.
- Use Case: Recommended for most exams, especially those allowing reference materials.

ProctorU Live+
- Cost: $15 per exam (paid by the student)
- Description: Continuous live proctoring throughout the exam, including room scans and real-time intervention for suspected academic dishonesty.
- Use Case: Useful for students in international or high-security testing environments.

In-Person Proctoring:
Respondus LockDown Browser
- Funding: Included in Auburn’s university-wide license; free for students
- Description: Locks down the testing environment to prevent browsing or other external access during the exam.
- Use Case: Recommended for proctored, in-person computer-based exams (e.g., Biggio Testing Services, on-campus labs).

Biggio Testing Services
- Cost: Free for students.
- Location: NCTA-certified testing center in Biggin Hall.
- Details: Offers full proctoring services. Instructors can set exams to be managed entirely by the Testing Center or actively participate in the process.
