Box is a cloud content management and file-sharing service that should be used as a resource for storing Auburn University academic or administrative data. Users can determine how their content can be shared with other users. Users may invite others to view and/or edit an account's shared files, upload documents and photos to shared files, upload documents and photos to a shared file's folder, and give other users rights to view shared files.

Your Auburn Box account can be accessed while on or off campus in the following ways:
- From a web browser at auburn.box.com
- From a computer using Box Drive
- From a mobile device using Box apps: (Android | iOS)
This article provides a high-level overview of what is offered within Box. To get started, follow the instructions below. For more information, please see the Knowledge Base article at aub.ie/boxkb.
- Navigate to auburn.box.com and click Continue when prompted to sign in to your account.
You will log in with your Auburn username and password and should accept the Duo authentication prompt.
- The main Box page will display any documents that have been shared with you and documents that you have created in Box or uploaded to Box.
- Each file and folder has different options shown in the screenshot below. When you move your mouse over a particular file or folder, these options appear. There is an ellipsis with More Options, followed by other options (Add to Collection, Copy Shared Link, Share, and a checkbox to Select).
- Clicking the ellipsis will display the following options:
- Clicking the Copy Shared Link option allows you to copy a link that can be shared with other individuals. The shared link will be copied to your clipboard. Selecting the Share arrow will also create a link that can be shared with others.
You'll then see a share screen, where you can see the shared link. If you have already shared the link with others, those users will be visible as small round icons in the upper right corner of this screen.
- You can also create new documents within Box. Clicking New in the top right corner will give you a list of document types. If selected, these documents will be created using the software's online versions, then saved into your Box account. You will be required to enter a title when you add a document, regardless of which document you choose to add. This title can be edited at any time within Box.
