In alignment with federal and state of Alabama’s guidance, Auburn University is continuing to evaluate the security risks associated with TikTok.

To protect valuable information and to reduce the possible cybersecurity threats associated with using TikTok, the Auburn network has been updated to restrict the use of TikTok. While students, faculty, and staff will not be able to access the app when connected to Auburn University internet services (i.e. AU_WiFi, etc.), TikTok will still be accessible via personal or Auburn-provided devices via cellular services.

This policy, based on currently available information, is in effect until further notice. Auburn will continue to monitor security developments regarding TikTok and will communicate any modifications to this policy that result from changing circumstances.
