ADOBE: Moving Your Creative Cloud Assets

As you are getting ready to leave Auburn, you may be wondering how to take all the beautiful things you created at Auburn using Adobe. We are here to answer that question.

The process looks a little different depending on what you are moving, so we've laid out all the details by application (arranged in alphabetical order), so you can move anything from a few images you created using Adobe Express to an entire Creative Cloud library. A few important notes:

If you encounter any challenges along the way, please reach out to your school’s IT department. If you have already graduated, our Adobe team can help.

Click on the button below pertaining to the application you want more information on regarding moving your assets.

Acrobat Files:

Simple! Download your documents from your school account by selecting a file and clicking 'Download' in the right pane. Then, if desired, upload them to your personal account.

Behance:

There is no direct way to move Behance content from one account to another. As a workaround, you can create a new profile and then do the following:

  1. Sign in to Behance with your personal account (non-school) and navigate to the profile page. Note your Behance handle, as you'll need it later. For example, in the URL https://behance.net/ABCD789, ABCD789 is your handle.
  2. In another browser, sign into Behance using your original school account.
  3. For each project you want to share:
    • Navigate to a project you want to share. Click 'Settings'.
    • Click the 'Add Co-Owners', 'Credits', and 'More' links at the bottom of the 'Settings' dialogue box.
    • In the co-owners field, enter the Behance profile name of your new profile and click 'Done'; then click 'Update Project'.
    • In your new profiles browser window, you will receive a notification. Accept the invitation to join the project as a co-owner. You will be able to edit the project, and it will also appear in your portfolio.

Creative Cloud Libraries:

You have two options:

  1. You can use the 'Libraries' panel to export your library file, or
  2. You can use the Creative Cloud sharing and collaboration feature.

Via Library Panel Export:

This process will enable you to export your entire library. Then, you can archive it or import it into a personal account.

  1. Open the 'Libraries' panel inside any Creative Cloud app (via your school account).
  2. Select the library you want to export.
  3. Click the 'More' options menu in the upper-right corner of the 'Libraries' panel.
  4. Select 'Export <Library Name>.'
  5. Click 'Select Folder', choose a location, and save your library.
  6. Click 'Export.' A copy of your library is now available on your local device.
  7. To import the library, copy it into a new account:
    • Open the 'Libraries' panel inside any Creative Cloud app (via your new account).
    • Click the 'More' options menu in the upper-right corner of the 'Libraries' panel.
    • Select 'Import Library.'
    • Click 'Select Library', and select the .cclibs file you want to import.
    • Click 'Import.'

Via Creative Cloud Collaboration Feature:

  1. Sign in to assets.adobe.com with your school account.
  2. Navigate to 'Your Work' > 'Your Libraries' and then hover on and select the relevant library.
  3. In the upper-right-hand corner, click 'Share' > 'Get Link.'
  4. Click 'Copy Link.'
  5. Sign out and then navigate to the links copied in Step 4; a preview of the library displays. Instead of signing out, you can open a different browser window.
  6. Click 'Copy to Your Work.' You will be prompted to sign in. Sign in with your personal account. If you copied several links, paste those links and click 'Copy to Your Work.' You will not be asked to sign in again if you are in the same browser. Verify the libraries are copied to 'Your Libraries' section in your personal account.

    • If you have multiple cloud documents to migrate, generate, and store all the links for easy access.
  6. Sign out and then navigate to the links you copied in Step 5. Sign in with your new account. Instead of signing out, you can also use a different browser or incognito mode.
  7. Click 'Copy to Files.' Verify the cloud documents are copied to 'Your Files' > 'Cloud Documents' in the new account.

Alternatively, you can open a document from within the application and choose to save it to your computer rather than as a cloud document by doing the following:

  1. Launch Photoshop or Illustrator.
