Email after Graduation

Auburn students who graduated after 2010 currently retain the use of their email account, though this policy is subject to change. However, accounts which go 12 months without being accessed will be deleted or suspended. As an alumni, if you would like to retain your email account, please remember to access it at least once a year.

To access email via the web, Auburn alumni should visit outlook.com/tigermail.auburn.edu.

For more information regarding what happens to other components of your Auburn account after graduation, alumni should visit the Knowledge Base article: Accounts: What Happens to your Account after Graduation.

If you are experiencing issues logging into your alumni email account or accessing MFA multi-factor authentication, please contact the IT Service Desk at (334) 844-4944 or itservicedesk@auburn.edu

Email after Retirement

Employees who retire from Auburn are eligible to keep their email account. Due to a recent update to email policies, the procedures surrounding this may soon change from an automated process to a by-request process. Please refer to the Eligible User Policy or contact your departmental IT staff for more information.

To access email via the web, Auburn retirees should visit outlook.com/tigermail.auburn.edu.

As a retiree, if you need to access personal information within AU Access or need to access the virtual private network, or VPN, you will still utilize DUO as multi-factor authentication for these processes. For instructions on using DUO, please visit our DUO Knowledge Base article.

If you are experiencing issues logging into your retiree email account or accessing MFA multi-factor authentication, please contact the IT Service Desk at (334) 844-4944 or itservicedesk@auburn.edu.
