Installing SecureCRT For Mac

SecureCRT is a terminal emulator designed for Internet use with support for Secure Shell (SSH). SecureCRT also supports Telnet and other protocols. SecureCRT is easy to use and customize.

Steps to install SecureCRT on a Mac:

  1. Download and run the SecureCRT for Mac installer from the AU Install Software Catalog Page. Note: there is a download for Mac PPC (uses PowerPC architecture) and Mac i386 (uses Intel’s x86 architecture).

  1. Click Agree to accept the terms of the End-User License Agreement.

  1. Click the SecureCRT icon. If prompted for permission to proceed, click Open.

  1. Click Enter License Data to add the software license.

  1. From the AU Install Software Catalog Page, under SecureCRT, click to download and open the License File (this is a text file containing license information).

  1. After clicking Enter License Data from step 4 above, copy the entire block of text from the SecureCRT License Text File and paste it into the provided box. Click Continue.

  1. Click Done to save the license data.

  1. Choose an option for configuration passphrase, and click OK.
