Overview:
Minitab is a statistical software package designed for data analysis and quality improvement. It offers a wide range of statistical tools and techniques for exploring, analyzing, and visualizing data, making it popular among engineers, researchers, and quality improvement professionals. Minitab provides features for descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, experimental design, control charts, and more. Its user-friendly interface and extensive help resources make it accessible to users with varying levels of statistical expertise.
How to Obtain Minitab:
Students can submit a request for Minitab at aub.ie/getminitabforstudents.
Employees can submit a request for Minitab at aub.ie/getminitabforemployees.
Further instructions will be provided during fulfillment.
How to Download and Install Minitab:
1. Navigate to licensing.minitab.com.
2. Enter your Auburn email address and click "Next."
3. From the Auburn authenticate screen, enter your Auburn username and password, and click "Login."
4. Select your Country and click "Continue."
5. You are now logged into the Minitab License Portal. In the top right corner, click "My Products" next to your name.
6. Click "Download Desktop App."
7. From the Downloads folder, launch the .exe file.
8. You will see a "Welcome to Minitab Setup" screen. Follow the prompts to install the software. When prompted, accept the Software Subscription Agreement, select "Activate with a license," and choose "Sign in" as your sign-in method when accessing the software.
9. Once installed, open the Minitab app and click "Sign In."
10. Enter your Auburn email address and click, "Next." Close the sign-in window and return to the main Minitab software screen. You should now be authenticated and can utilize the software.
